Students: Please consider entering the Johnsburg Memorial Day Essay Contest. All entries are due by May 1st to Mrs. Leonardi in the CCRC. The Johnsburg Community Affairs Committee will review the essays on May 5th in hopes of winners being announced by May 15th.

The Illinois CPA Society offers academic scholarships of up to $2,000 to support high school seniors interested in pursuing a degree in accounting at an ILLINOIS COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY. Requirements include being a U.S. Citizen, enrolling in an Illinois College or university in the Fall of 2026, GPA of at least 3.0 and plan to major in accounting.

The Johnsburg Community Club offers the Joe Frett Memorial Scholarship. This will be awarded to a JHS graduate who demonstrates leadership, citizenship, and community involvement during their four years at JHS.
Applicants are required to have an interview before the scholarship committee as part of the application process.
Applications are in the CCRC and the Deadline is April 24.

Congratulations to Mr. Brown's class that sang the chorus to "Life is a Highway" for today's Fun Friday (Thurs edition).

Some JHS students, along with Mrs. Ault and Mrs. Tassone, took a tour and had a pizza lunch at McHenry County College today. They were checking out their possible future post-high school options and learning about what MCC has to offer.

Tonight is the drop-in event - Meet MCC from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Stop in during those hours to check them out and see if MCC is in your future!

Our representatives from the US Army are in the JHS cafeteria right now and will be during the lunch periods. Stop by and thank them for their service, see what the Army is all about and pick up some Army swag.
