There are three virtual information sessions happening soon for the UIUC Engineering Pathways Program, a partnership with McHenry County College . This is an amazing opportunity. Applications are due on April 5, 2026 for high school seniors who wish to pursue this program. It is recommend that interested individuals attend one of the virtual information sessions below.

UIUC Engineering Pathways offers students interested in beginning their college education at an Illinois community college a streamlined transfer experience and guaranteed admission to The Grainger College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign upon successful completion of program requirements.

The Johnsburg Girls Basketball team defeated Regina Dominican last week to become Regional Champions!! The first Sectional game will be tomorrow night (February 24) with tip off at 6 pm. IHSA requires EVERYONE to pay a $9 admission fee. However, thanks to anonymous donor, the first 50 JHS students with their current student ID will get in for FREE!!

The Johnsburg Community Club offers the Joe Frett Memorial Scholarship. This will be awarded to a JHS graduate who demonstrates leadership, citizenship, and community involvement during their four years at JHS. Applicants are required to have an interview before the scholarship committee as part of the application process. Applications are in the CCRC and the Deadline is April 24.

The ILLINOIS NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR is on March 7th @ Moraine Valley Community College from10 am – 1 pm.

During the INCF, you will have the chance to talk to many different colleges. You and your family can ask questions of the college representatives as well as visit the Q&A booths to get general topic information such as application process, financial aid, athletics, and more!

Fabricators and Manufacturers Association/SparkForce provides scholarships twice per year to students pursuing degrees or certifications that will lead to manufacturing careers*. (*See approved fields of Study at website)

The Norwegian National League offers a scholarship program to encourage the study of Norwegian heritage. Applicants must be of Norwegian ancestry, reside in McHenry County, have a minimum GPA of 3.0. For complete details and application, go to link.

The Ruth Limpers Scholarship is funded in part by the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association. Three scholarships in the of $2,000 each are available for students interested in Government Finance. For full requirements/details/application, go to link.

McHenry Garden Club provides up to $3,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors who live in McHenry County. Requirements include providing a copy of acceptance letter from selected school, non-official transcript showing at least a GPA of 3.0, 2 letters of recommendation. The Organization of Latino Actuaries (OLA) is a nonprofit dedicated to increasing Latine representation in the actuarial field by providing scholarships, mentorship, and career-building opportunities. Scholarships are open to all students who will be attending a US college/university next school year and are interested in a math, business, or related field. Winners can receive awards up to $7,500.
