14th Annual Madrigal Dinner

Celebrate the holiday season by attending the 14th annual Madrigal Dinner at Johnsburg High School! This spectacular two-hour dinner show includes food,song, and costuming from the Renaissance era. This sensory experience will transport our guests to 400 years in the past to enjoy the vast variety of music. In addition to the Madrigal Choir, guests will also enjoy performances by the JHS Brass Quintet.

Board Commendations November 22, 2016

Fall Sports Accomplishments – Tom Ross asked the Board to join with him in commending the fall sports athletes who recently qualified for and competed in the State Championships. He noted that the High School Varsity Football Team would be commended at a future meeting since they would be competing in the State Championship game in Champaign on November 24th.

Tuesday, November 15, 2016, has been designated as School Board Members Day in Illinois, and Johnsburg School District 12 is joining other districts across the state to thank these community volunteers for their commitment and contributions to our public schools. School board members serve their communities without monetary compensation to make public education the best it can be for every child.

10:00 a.m. = kids 1 mile fun run

The cost is $25.00 for all 5K participants and $15 for all of the 1 mile kids fun run participants.

JHS in 16 years, earning an average score of 22.2 for the 2015-16 school year. This
is the highest average ACT composite score achieved at JHS since 2001, when the
Illinois State Board of Education adopted the ACT as the assessment for all juniors in

Board Commendations September 27, 2016

Sophie Blea and Jake Grunder – Festival Choir Competition – Kevin Shelton asked the Board to join with him in commending Jake Grunder for placing in the semi-final round and Sophie Blea for placing first in the final round of the recent Festival Choir Competition, which involved over 300 students from Illinois and Missouri.
